1.Planning and preparation
All assessments start with an initial meeting with the customer’s key contacts to explain the service, find out the customer’s business requirements, and understand how these are reflected in the customer’s objectives for imaging and printing. The Laser Technologies solutions architect will explain the service delivery process and the deliverables to gain approval and sponsorship for the assessment. With assistance from the customer, appropriate interview subjects are identified, individual departments or groups to be evaluated are scoped, and overall logistics are agreed upon for the onsite portion of the assessment. Where appropriate, the solutions architect can offer the customer access to modeling information based on previous assessments and/or an onsite workshop to help the customer management team properly scope and prioritize imaging and printing issues.
